How To Decide On Wedding Transportation

So the big day is coming up and you have yet to figure out what to do about wedding transportation. This is one aspect of a wedding that often gets overlooked but which is truly quite important to the wedding itself. Often couples forget about planning their wedding transportation which is unfortunate because it’s one of the most integral parts of the wedding. There are a few top picks for wedding transportation that are really worth considering and which if nothing else will help you come up with ideas for your own wedding.

Limos are the most relied on form of wedding transportation. When most of us think of a wedding, we think of seeing the bride arrive in style with her bridal party out of a stretch limo. It’s certainly a nice way to treat the friends and family who will be getting driven in them, but the main problem with limos is they can be a bit expensive. However, they are large so you can fit more people in them than you could in a regular vehicle.

A lot of people think that limos are the traditional wedding transportation but this isn’t true. Horse-drawn carriages are actually what fill that spot and there are many people today who still opt for this wedding transportation over any other. This is how people in the olden days used to get to their weddings and really is quite romantic. The princess themed weddings are super popular these days, and there’s no better way to start off a princess wedding than by being taken to your ceremony in a horse-drawn carriage.

A lot of brides want to feel like a fairytale princess on their wedding day with a beautiful wedding dress and flowers, and nothing helps set that off more than a horse drawn carriage ride. Horse-drawn carriages are also very affordable which means you can save money and put it elsewhere for the wedding. Vintage cars are quickly gaining in popularity as a form of wedding transportation. There are some amazing classic cars and when you go through a wedding transportation company you can find some that are completely done up and drop your jaw to the floor.

Vintage cars make a great choice for wedding transportation for that cool couple who like to show their uniqueness and style. It’s important that every couple take time to truly evaluate their options and be sure of what they want. Just make sure that you consider all your options and choose wedding transportation that’s suitable to the style of wedding as well as your own personal taste. Once the wedding transportation’s out of the way you can start to focus on all the other little details of the wedding.

A Stag Night Planning Primer

Todays discussion piece is from Marcus West of Mail Order Brides who is going to discuss the stag night. The stag night is a tradition that goes all the way back to Ancient Greek times when the boys in Sparta gathered for a last blowout before one of their mates stepped off the abyss into married life. While we don't have the films from those early stag do's, we've got a hunch that not a lot has changed since then. The idea is to get piss-drunk, stuff your face with the best food you can get and get your fill of all the things you'll be missing once you tie the knot (read: all the other birds in the bush that you're trading in for the one in the hand).

The honor of planning the stag do traditionally falls to the best man - the fellow you can count on through thick and thin, rain and shine, night or day, drunk or sober.. the chap who knows where to find the strippers, booze bars and paintball courts. If that's you and you haven't the foggiest notion where to start, here's some handy tips to help get you started on the path to perdition - or at least the road to the boozy blast you know you can plot.

1. First things first. Know your mate. The stag do is meant to be HIS night of ignominy, not yours. Before you make arrangements to hire the 40 Salomes with seven veils between them, be sure it's the type of thing he'll appreciate.

2. Once you've got that part out of the way, it's time to start figuring out where to find those Salomes... or something like that. If you've chatted it out and decided that nothing will do for your mate but a full-blown stag weekend, you'll need to get right on the horn to start making arrangements. Stag weekends are big business, and many of the more popular activities and venues are booked up to six months in advance. Get those enquiries out, and be prepared to put down a few deposits to hold dates open.

3. One Month Ahead (Two if you're doing an overseas stag weekend) - run the guest list past your stag, even if you don't tell him that's what it is. It's only fair for him to actually LIKE the folks he's spending his last free party with. Then... send out the invites to give everyone plenty of time to make plans to attend the stag do.

4. Two weeks ahead - confirm all the reservations for your stag night, just to be on the safe side. While you're at it, either designate a driver for the night, or reserve a limo to do the honors. You want everyone at the wedding - not sitting in a lonely jail cell.

5. No matter how tempting it is, don't accept too much help from your buds. The more hands there are on the wheel, the more likely it is that someone will drop the ball - or something like that. You're most likely to get everything done and in place if you see to it yourself.

6. OR - get professional help. If you hire a professional tour organiser to put together the plans for your stag weekend, you can just see to it that everyone shows up with their embarrassing jokes and gags - and sit back to enjoy the best stag do you didn't have to plan.

Wedding Traditions Continuing To Change

At one time nearly all wedding ceremonies looked alike. The minister would be dressed in a black suit and use standardized wedding vows read from his minister's manual. The bride would be dressed in a white gown while the groom would be in a black tuxedo with a white shirt. If you are planning a wedding today, however, you are no longer stuck in a box. You can plan a wedding that is uniquely yours and yours alone.

You may choose to have music as a part of the ceremony. Several years ago, the choice for weddings was organ music playing 'Here comes the Bride, ' but today you may choose instead to have a band of guitar superstars that play all the music for the ceremony. Choices in music can reflect your own sense of style.

You may choose not to exchange rings or you may simply choose for the bride to receive a ring. Giving the mens wedding bands to the groom has become very common. If there are children that will be a part of the new family, they may also be given a piece of jewelry signifying their part in the ceremony.

Traditionally wedding rings were made of gold. Toady, you will find mens wedding rings that are also made of titanium. These rings can be very expensive but make a wonderful modern looking ring for the new husband.

As many couples have grown up without a relationship to a house of worship, many weddings are being held out of doors instead of in a chapel. Wineries, parks and beaches all offer great venues for an outdoor wedding. The use of outdoor settings means that even more weddings are being held during the summer months when the weather is more likely to be agreeable for a wedding.

Outdoor wedding parties can choose much less formal attire than those in more formal places. Since it can get quit warm standing in the sun on a summer day, you are not limited to tuxes and formal dresses. Casual attire can allow you to be much more comfortable for your wedding. You can have much more fun if you are comfortable.

When planning a wedding, remember that this is your own special day. You will need to have freedom to plan the day as you want it and not to please someone else. This should be a very happy day for you. If you desire the more formal ceremony by all means plan it for your wedding, but if you want something else, plan accordingly.

Tips On Planning A Low-Cost Yet Memorable Wedding

Having a grand and memorable wedding day doesn't have to cost you a fortune. So if you're planning for yours but on a tight budget, there's no need to worry. You can have a low-cost wedding without looking tacky. Continue reading to get some helpful ideas on how you can come up with a dream wedding without spending too much.

Months before your grand day, use the internet as a resource for most of the things you need. Drop by various stores and auction sites on the net. You can find great deals, from wedding gowns, pillows for the rings, favors for the guests, decorations and the likes. Shop around as early as possible, to give some time for the auctioning to finish or for the deliveries.

You may ask your guests to provide help and services, instead of handing your gifts. For example, your best friend who can sing well can be your wedding singer. Or a relative who got a DSLR can be the official photographer. When hunting for cheap wedding bands for men and women, ask around for recommendations. The same is true when looking for a baker who can make and design a stunning cake that doesn't cost too much.

There's a way you can rent a place for the wedding and reception at a fraction of the cost. Rent when the demand for the place is low, such as during weekdays or Sunday nights. But why rent when you can have a place for free, such as in a garden in a relative's place? Or how about in a public park with a stunning backdrop?

Don't feel pressured to invite everyone in the office or neighborhood. Each time you add someone on your invitation list, your budget increases dramatically. Go after a more solemn event by inviting those only closest to you. Speaking of guests, you can save a lot of money if you can do the invitations themselves. Get your creativity sharpened up and design your own invitation.

There are little things that your guests will fail to observe. For example, the sleeve of the groom's tuxedo will cover his wrist. So there's really no need to drop by a classy men's watches store to purchase an expensive one. Even with the decorations and flowers, there are things that can be done to save money. The bridesmaids each can have a rose, and the bride can have a small bouquet instead.

Finally, look your best by not being too stressed about everything. No matter how well you have planned everything, it's not unlikely for slight mistakes to show up. Looking happy and glowing is an important indicator of a truly memorable wedding. Get tips from beauty magazines, such as how to get rid of acne, lifeless skin, eye bags, excess weight, etc. Everyone's attention will be on your glow, and not on the slip-ups.
